Taking a moment for daily journalling can be a nourishing use of time. Here are our favourite tips for creating your own approach.
1. Allow some time each day to write in the same notebook, ideally to the same schedule. We recommend trying this for 30 days to build a habit as part of your routine.
2. Find a place to write that feels comfortable and allow the experience to feel like a restorative treat. This could mean enjoyinga fresh cup of coffee as you write each morning, or burning a scented candle as you curl up with a cosy blanket in the evening.
3. There is no 'right' way to journal, so choose a writing style that works for you on a particular day. This could be a stream of consciousness to clear your mind, or simply noting down daily emotions or thoughts in a few words.
4. Consider gratitude journalling. Listing three things to feel grateful for each day can help quieten the noise and instil a sense of calm and balance.
