A signature of our approach is a passion for tactility. The way something feels can impact how we feel and the Matere range is intended to feel just as good as it looks. We wanted to create stationery that was simply a joy to experience, capturing a spectrum of textures from raw concrete to soft fabric.
We scrupulously tested countless writing papers before settling on a soft cream Munken sheet at a luxuriously thick 120gsm, suitable for everything from graphite pencil to fountain pen.
The development process was an immersive celebration of unique papers and materials. Almost 2,000 different samples were scrutinised in fine detail when bringing our first range to life. Experience, comfort, tactile quality and sustainability were at the forefront of each and every decision.
